It was in the 1700s that the first tropical orchids were imported to Europe. We have been surprised since that time to see this plant bloom without soil! Culture subsequently developed throughout Europe, and no one can resist this exotic flower.
The Orchid is considered the queen of flowers, it has fascinated people for a long time. It is a symbol of love, passion and refinement. In ancient China, this flower was the symbol of fertility. Legend has it that if the flower opens to the east, it brings a boy and a girl if it blooms to the west!
VIRTUEIn the Middle Ages this flower was used to cure, calm or repel illnesses. Today, it is used for its bewitching fragrance.
