Collines de Provence's Mandarin & Yuzu scented candle is made from vegetable wax and natural ingredients. It stays true to Collines de Provence\'s signature style and elevates it with sun-drenched hues. Our fragrance expert from Grasse, the beating heart of perfumery, has designed a delicate fragrance to whisk you away on a voyage between Europe and Asia.
What makes a good perfumer great tends to be putting different notes together to create fresh emotion. Our fragrance expert has brought together a classic western fruit, the sweet and juicy mandarin, and Japanese yuzu, whose fresh zing and intensity gives the citrus pairing a squeeze of excitement. Our master candle makers have blended this understated pairing into their best wax to bring you the ultimate home fragrance.
The Mandarin & Yuzu scented candle belongs to theCitrus scent family. Experience the fresh sun-drenched note on an exciting scented getaway:

Mandarin:
As the name suggests, mandarins hail from China. Mandarins were Chinese and Manchu rulers. They\'re bigger and paler than their Clementine cousins with milder and sweeter notes. Their peel is used in perfumery and aromatherapy, their leaves are used after steam distillation.
Yuzu:
The Japanese also call the yuzu the "lemon". The small tree may come from the same botanical family as the clementine but its fragrance, properties and uses couldn\'t be more different! It is now mainly grown in Japan and Korea where it\'s used in cooking. Depending on ripening and harvest, its juice and yellow or green peel release powerful and instantly recognisable aromas. It may be big on fragrance but the same can\'t be said of the flesh itself, especially since its full of pips.
Mandarin:
Mandarins reign in the history of perfume. There are lots of reasons why this citrus ranks so high and one prime example is its use in the first real eaux de toilette in the western world: colognes. But modern perfumery is still just as enamoured of mandarins today. That\'s probably why people believe it sparks the imagination when you smell it! You can find fresh mandarin paired with herbs like basil as well as amber, any woody scent or jasmine. Collines de Provence\'s unique Mandarin and Yuzu combination celebrates the bold reunion of two citrus siblings from the opposite ends of the Earth.
Yuzu:
Like most citrus fruits, Yuzu is cold-pressed or distilled for its fragrance and signature acidity. Many perfumers use it in products for both men and women. It brings style and zing to classics in the Citrus family. Since it was discovered later than citrus fruits that are traditionally used in the West, it adds an unrivalled dash of modern flair.
Mandarin:
Mandarins come from China but they grow all over the world nowadays. The citrus fruit has forgotten its Far Eastern roots and has perfectly acclimatised to the sun-drenched Mediterranean regions. It now grows in most of the Mediterranean Basin and Spain.
Yuzu:
Yuzu comes from China and Tibet where it grows naturally in the wild. It was introduced to Japan then Korea over a thousand years ago! It has even acclimatised to Brazil as Japanese migrants couldn\'t settle there without it.
